Due to legal regulations in the EU (European Community) we must not use the literal translation of Rechtsanwalt/Fachanwalt/Steuerberater. If we use the translation we do not intend to leave the impression, that our legal title is that. We are all German attorneys (Rechtsanwalt) and Steuerberater, use of foreign language is only intended to help you to understand.

Europe at the moement means 30 states with over 20 languages and therefore 20 different translations for "attorney". The use of "attorney", "advocato", "studio legale" etc. might be confusing, and as each statelaw has a regulation (as the use of attorney at law in the US) of restrictive use of these professions, there might be confusion.
